Activity Cards are required to register for any sport or program over 4 weeks.  The card is from September 1st, 20010-August 31st, 2011. Activity Cards can be purchased during in person registration.

About The Winnipeg Minor Basketball Association


The Winnipeg Minor Basketball Association is a community club based basketball league, open to boys and girls ages 6-17. There are 2 programs offered during the year:

  • The fall program begins in October and runs through to March.
  • The spring program begins in April and runs through to the end of June.

    Teams are broken into age groups with gender split for over the age of 9. The teams are co-ed for 8 and under.

    The program offers the children to start at an early age and learn the sport with development of their skills up to age 17.

    The WMBA is a non profit program. The Association began in the summer of 1997, which included over 400 participants on 41 teams through out the city of Winnipeg. The past season have attracted over 2200 participants on over 200 teams. WMBA promotes a fair play policy for all participants.

    Games are played on Saturday or Sunday, depending on the age group, and there is 1 practice during the weekday evenings in one of the local gyms.  The exact practise schedule to be determined once the teams are developed.  12 years of age and under play on Saturday's between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m; 13 yrs and older play on Sundays between 9:00 and 5:00 p.m.
