Individual Program Activity Fee- $30

Activity Fee must be paid to register for any sport or program over 4 weeks in duration.

This fee is charged to help offset the administration costs of the centre.

BATON/DANCE/HIP HOP/POM POM COPRPS.

Programs for Youth and Adults.  With a staff of 6 and more Qualified Teachers.
Professionally Directed by Linda Taylor Boyd.  Certified member of MBTSA/CBTF (Baton) & Dance Manitoba
BATON
Get caught up in the catchy sport of baton, have fun, make new friends.
  • Ages 3yrs and up
  • levels- recreational to competitive in both group, solo work & Two Baton
  • All instructions certified by the Canadian Baton Federation
  • Badge program & testing offerd.  Work shops & clinic are also offered
Many of the athlete from this program have competed at Unicity and Provincial championships and have won many awards.
Lessons for Baton are offered Monday or Thursday.

Dance
  • Baby Steps - 2 yr olds and Parents - This is an introduction to dance for 2 years and their parents to learn, to have fun, skip, jump and be creative
  • Step- Up - 3 and 4 year olds - a combined program of Tap and Ballet
  • Pre Tap and Pre Ballet - 5 and 6 year olds, beginner and up
  • Ballet - Tap - Jazz Ballet - All ages, Beginners to Advanced levels.  These classes provide a strong foundation for each of the disciplines with the emphasis STILL ON FUN.
  • Stepping out for Adult Dance Classes will be offered in Jazz and Tap
The above classes (Dance and Baton take place at Southdale Recreation Association on Monday or Thursday.)
1/2 hour classes-$120 annually, but 45 minute classes are also available at $160.00 annually
Any one student taking more than 2 activities in this program will receive a discount on the 3rd activity. (The discount will apply to the lowest cost)

 HIP HOP
  • Ages 7 yrs and up for Boys and Girls
  • Classes held Monday between 6:15 pm -9:00pm, at Niakwa Place School on Pebble Beach Road (according to age and level.)
  • Annual fee- $160 for 45 minute classes
If you are interested- Adult Hip Hop classes will be offered.
(If an adult has a child registered in the dance and baton program fee will be $145.00 annually)

 POM POM CORPS
 
This is an new and exciting program for children aged 7& up.  This activity offers dance, gymnastics and team work. 
Classes are for one hour on Tueday evenings.  Cost is $180 per year. 
This up and coming program offers a chance to entertain and compete.  Last year's Pom Pom Team competed and are winners of the 2010 & 2011 Unicity & Provincial Championships.

Because we operate out of a community centre, we do not have to charge expensive Dance School Rates.  However you do receive the same quality instructions.  For each of the disciplines - you will receive 30 classes over the course of the progam's duration.
 
NOTE: Registration for these classes take place at Southdale Recreation Centre, 254 Lakewood Blvd.  In person, or on line.
