Southdale Recreation Centre offers Beginner and Intermediate Social Dance Classes Sunday evenings 7:00-8:00 PM for singles or couples. Dances include Two Step, East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing, Jive, Nightclub, and Ballroom Cha Cha Cha. To get into the “swing” of things and learn fun and easy routines for your next Wedding or social function consider taking a few lessons. Excellent for the bride and groom, wedding parties or grads needing some first time or refresher courses in the latest steps and music. This 4 week course offers that extra boost to make you feel comfortable out on that dance floor. |

The instructor Regina Angeleau holds an Associateship with the Toronto Conservatory School of Music, University of Toronto and has extensive training in Western, Swing and Ballroom. She has trained with Terry and Cindy Gardner of Minneapolis, Minnesota for Swing and Lindy Hop; Gary and Lisa MacIntyre, World Two Step and Country Champions for two-step and West Coast Swing and Nightclub; Atlas Griffith, World Class Champion for West Coast Swing and Ballroom Cha Cha Cha; and Beate Howe of California International Champion for West Coast Swing. She is also active in showcasing dancing and teaching to stimulate interest and growth in dancesport and is a facilitator in the “Dancing Under the Canope” event held annually at the Forks. |
